Untitled #2 by Norman J Olson

Surrealist painting with abstract elements, containing five vertical segments. From left to right: 1) two portraits, one of a bald person with a half black, half checkered garment, and the other painted in yellow with black and red brushstrokes defining blurred facial features; 2) a blue profiled figure with a human body and a crescent shaped head that reaches an arm into a gradient of salmon pink and pale blue. In the bottom left corner there is a blue quarter circle filled with white squiggle lines; 3) the silhouette of a black barren tree against a red background; 4) two abstracted depictions of faces surrounded by harsh black lines with a background containing blooms of yellow, orange, pink and blue mixed with grey; 5) a black background with a small red circle at the bottom center, and a white rectangle with black, text-like strokes above the circle.

Artist’s Note: This is a 4×8 foot oil painting… I am a non commercial artist, and since I do not sell my originals, I have these and about 1000 other artworks stashed in my house and garage… the large oil paintings, which I have not done for a few years now, would take a few months to complete…
