5 Micro Poems by David A. Lee

[83 words]

Dawn Physiology

The eyelid of morning lifts:
photons flood the optic nerve,
and belief becomes visible.

Fossil Breath

When I open the window,
carbon traces from ancient lungs
enter mine like scripture.

Pulse Equation

A tremor in the wrist:
each systole translating
silence into proof.

Migration Pattern

Geese cross the gray aorta of sky,
and something in me follows:
a small, migratory ache.

Postscript to the Universe

I suture the horizon with thought,
but the sea, patient surgeon,
undoes each stitch of light.
