Hello Readers!
Elena here with a summer update.
As you know, our slush readers have been helping us work through our submissions pile and we have now conquered the backlog! Huge thanks to them all for their time and dedication. As of this writing, if you submitted work prior to June 1, 2024, you should have received a response from us. If not, feel free to shoot us an email so we can get you sorted.
Now that our submissions pile is in order, we are ready to tackle our publishing schedule. We’ve received wonderful pieces of writing and art over the past few months–so many, in fact, that we have been able to accept more than usual. Our authors have been waiting ever so patiently for their publish dates, and I’d like to cut down on the wait time for them. Which means that you, our readers, will benefit too, because for the duration of July and August we will be publishing not once, but twice every week! That’s a total of 18 new pieces and authors for you to enjoy, and we’re looking forward to sharing them with you.
Check back here every Monday and Friday at noon Pacific time for new creative works all through the summer. And if you haven’t yet, go sign up for our newsletter to get all our new pieces in your inbox at the beginning of every month.
As of June 1st, submissions have opened again, and we’ve already received an impressive amount. We’re looking forward to diving back into the slush pile.
I hope you all have a lovely summer–or winter for those of you in the southern hemisphere.
Keep reading, and keep submitting!
