What I’m saying right now is meaningless –
because a word spoken alone is a word spoken in vain.
Like a tree falling in an empty forest,
I may as well never make a sound.
But when these words reach you –
moments, days, years from now –
Meaning will be born.
She will be our child, a unique creation of
our collective experiences pulled together for
a single purpose –
to say, “I love you.”
